Looking up at the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa, one is immediately struck by the brilliance of the beautiful white marble forming the Tower's lyrical many arches and floors. On a sunny afternoon, the details of the design are particularly striking. The many marble columns create interesting shadows against the tower - an absolute delight to photograph! On my recent trip to Pisa, I took the opportunity to photograph many of these details of the tower - including the beautiful steps inside well worn from millions of visitors' footsteps and the astounding views from the observation tower.
