Artist's Description

A gondolier sits awaiting new customers while enjoying the shade at a cafe in Venice. This photograph highlights the beauty of an afternoon in Venice. It includes the wonderful ancient brick buildings decorated with window boxes overflowing with lush plants and flowers, a canal wherein floats a traditional Venetian boat, and a view of a stone street lined with a cafe and a market.

My fascination with creating art began as a child at the age of five, drawing with oil pastels and painting with acrylics. I still recall the great fun I had playing with paint at the easel in kindergarten, just wanting that opportunity to go on forever. Thankfully I have never lost the thrill of having a paint brush in my hand. As a young person, I took art classes throughout elementary and high school, and then continued with classes in drawing, painting and photography at the college level (Boston University, Arcadia University and LaSalle University).
